Softserve have more number of customers, in the Apparel / Garment industrial sector who are in the export and local market in Sri Lanka. The garment industry, is more unique industry in the operations of inventory management and its supply chain. We have provided solutions using the Dynamics NAV business platform to map its variety of unique business operations. We implemented ERP in Apparel companies that makes garments for Special occasions, school uniforms, kids ware, lingerie and garments washing plants.
More unique feature in this industry is the Style, Color and Size matrix in the inventory management. We used the Dynamics NAV Manufacturing, Assemble or Jobs modules that fully integrated to Finance. Some solutions are end-to-end supply chain management and some are for the back office operations. Some these solutions are integrated with third party tools in a seamless integration.
Trading – Sales and Distribution
Our customers in the trading industry are the Import and locally distribution companies or internally produce and locally distributing companies. These customers are in different trading business such as Plastics and Thermal insulation, Beverages, Confectionaries, Chemicals, Automobile oils, Mattresses, Expandable Polystyrene, Processed Chicken, Garments etc..
The solutions for all the trading companies are based on Dynamics NAV ERP. However, some of these trading companies are heavily customized in order to map its pricing, sales discounts and quantity discounts. We have added many user defined reports for the specific user requirements.
Service Industry
We have provided solutions using Dynamics NAV ERP and Azure cloud to the services industries. The service industries are IT Products and Services providers, Telecom services and Floral & Event management. Some of these service oriented companies are operating across 07 countries and access Dynamics NAV on Azure cloud.
The companies belongs to Floral & Event management are incorporated with customized modules using Sales Bill of Materials, in order to map their customer enquiry and price estimate functions.
Distilleries
Our pioneer customer base, using Dynamics from year 2004 onwards, currently using Dynamics NAV 2018. They are one of the largest distilleries of Alcohol beverages, Importers of liquor and local distributors in Sri Lanka. They purchase/ import concentrated sprit, blends and dilute it, produce variety of liquor, bottle and distribute locally.
The entire supply chain management, from purchase to finished products are implemented with Dynamics NAV Purchase, Inventory, manufacturing and sales modules.
Construction
Construction companies work hard and take on big projects, often with a lot of risk. As busy as we expect construction companies to be in 2022, they will find that process inefficiencies will be harder to ignore. The increased need to work from home in 2020 made people more digitally focused and we’re seeing that in the construction industry as well.
By updating their software, a construction company can go from having a process that takes a week or more, to doing the same process with the click of a few buttons. This allows invoices to be sent to clients faster, payments to be remitted to vendors quickly, and keeps everyone on both sides of the process happy. This can have a positive effect on the subcontractor side of the business as well, helping companies keep their good people around for future projects.

Floral & Event Management
Our customer is a leading Florists & Event Management service provider company and a popular brand in Sri Lanka. They provide services such as wedding décor, bouquet, lighting and dancing. Particular Customer also a retail sellers of fresh flowers, cakes & stationeries. The company has 04 sales outlets internally supplied with central operational unit.
By carefully mapping the functionality Dynamics NAV 2013 ERP Starter Pack, we able to provide a one business platform for all the strategic business units. The Dynamics NAV 2013 database hosted on the local cloud by Sri Lanka Telecom and can be accessed from geographically separated sales outlets and Central Operational Unit. This platform streamline and integrate the Customer’s supply chain process from demand creation to service delivery. An adequately customized costing module provides the facility to define, store and maintain wedding décor designs. That enable the Event Consultants to prototype the customer requirements and arrive at a total service price. Once the customer sales is concerned then the responsibility transferred automatically to Finance for billing and Operations to service delivery. All done without much exchanging the manual documents that were available before.
Due to the Dynamics scalability, Floral Company expands its business operations horizontally by increasing sales outlets and vertically going into other strategic business units and retail sales.
Export Oriented Companies
We have successfully implemented Dynamics NAV/365 ERP solutions for Sri Lankan base multinational companies. These companies are two types ; Manufacture locally and export or locally purchased and export. They are into diversified trades such as high quality electrical equipment, Garments, commodities and fresh vegetables. They could be process manufacturing or discrete manufacturing companies and mainly make-to-order.
